Kallirachi is a beautiful picturesque mountain village, literally perched on the mountain and of great interest as it combines mountain and sea (the sea is only 1.5 km away). It is located24 km away from the island's capital. The village is peacefull and quiet and has picturesque narrow streets with traditional houses.

For those who want to taste more nature, there is very easy access to the mountain. Thats where easy-to-walk paths start, flooded with musky plants and herbs, for a visitor who wants to hike in the mountains, either to work out in the nature or to pick fresh oregano, mountain tea or other herbs. The visitor can walk around the beautiful village with the picturesque streets, the well maintained courtyards with blooming gardens, the uphills and downhills and. He wander around the village or climb to the top where the view from the church of Holy Transfiguration is astounding.
In Kallirachi one can visit the renovated folklore museum, in a 1740 house. The layout and furniture of the house represent a traditional residence of Thassos with original furniture and textiles. It is the residence of a local captain. The museum hosts an exhibition with nautical photographs and paintings from the Naval Museum of Kavala.
You should definitely try the traditional sweets of the village, such as the halva with the key made in the village of Kallirahi as well as the saragli – made with a traditional handmade phyllo with honey and nuts, baked in the oven.

At a short distance (only 1.5 km) from Annasol maison our guests can visit Skala Kallirachi, a picturesque port with small crafts and fishing boats. Its where the same name beach of the village is found while there are also more beaches to enjoy nearby ( Klysma, Plaka, Schoinos and Lagada ). The Sardine Festival dedicated to this delicious local product, takes places in the port of the village in July,, with plenty of food, tsipouro and local wine!

There are events with traditional dances and festivities in the village throughout the summer.

Skala Kallirachis is home to the Olive growing Cooperative which produces extra virgin olive oil and to producers of special local sweets (spoon sweets) and local products. In the nearby area of Klisma there are taverns on the beach with wonderful fresh fish and traditional greek appetizers ( mezedes ).

If guests have equipment (rod, line, hooks, etc.) they can experience the joy of a very relaxing hobby, fishing. The sea is suitable as it has plenty of fish, so if they are lucky, they can enjoy the fresh fish they themselves caught, grilled in the special BBQ of Annasol maison, available to our guests.

It is definitely a recreation not available in the city that you can enjoy during your holidays.
