Visit the caves of the island with stalagmites and stalactites, the farm of Neromylos in Theologos and the artificial lake located in the village of Maria. If you visit the picturesque village of Kastro, admire the church of Agios Athanasios, one of the oldest churches on the island, which was rebuilt in 1804 with stones from the village wall.
While in Theologos there is a stone bridge which you can visit and was built in 1917.
In Theologos and Kazaviti you will enjoy delicious meat dishes while in Ano Sotiros, Ano Kallirachi and Panagia you will enjoy your coffee in the cool shadow of the plantain trees.
The area of the mines in Limenaria, is covered with black metal and is also admirable.
Giola is a natural rocky pool in the Astris area where the stone walls that surround it reach a height of 8 meters and swimmers can dive from up high in its emerald waters. Saliara and Vathy are two exotic beaches with all-white pebbles and impressive deep blue waters that will definitely thrill you.

Boat trips
The boats of the island will take you to its most beautiful and windless beaches. You will take a dip in the clear blue waters of Thassos but you will also admire the beauty of the island from the sea. These excursions are daily with many stops on all our wonderful beaches, while you are offered drinks and food on the deck.

The island offers endless activities in its waters.

Fishing

Hunting

The hiking trails and paths of Thassos are countless for the visitor of the island to walk at all seasons. The hills and valleys of the island welcome walkers and hikers, offering unique experiences. The trails of Thassos are what we call “suitable for everyone”. During summer and autumn the landscape is adorned with all shades of green and you can collect different varieties of herbs.
4X4 routes
Thassos is a special island that combines beautiful beaches with the wild beauty of the mountains. All the mountain trails lead to secluded and secret passages. The experience of touring the island through these off-road routes by 4x4 vehicle is special. Reliable 4x4 all-terrain vehicles are available for rent from rental companies throughout Thassos. Alternatively you can take part in Jeep Safari, an organized tour to the hidden beauties of the island.
Horseback riding
Thassos offers the refreshing experience of horseback riding along the coast as well as high on the mountain slopes. Visitors can ride either on their own or with a professional guide. Children can ride a horse too.

History and culture
Ancient
The island carries a legacy of invaluable treasures of world archeological heritage. Among the most important archeological finds to visit in Thassos are the Ancient Bazaar, the Ancient Theater, the Acropolis, the ruins of an ancient city, with its ancient walls and gates in Limenas, the ancient Temple, the Sanctuary and the Quarry in Aliki.
Archaeological Museum of Thassos
At the recently renovated Archaeological Museum of Thassos in Limenas, there is strong evidence of the rich history of the island. The museum offers a rich variety of ancient artifacts found throughout the island and helps the visitor appreciate the culture that flourished here many years ago.
Folklore museums
In Thassos there are many folklore museums scattered in its villages. You should not neglect to visit the museum of modern art "Polygnotos Vagis" in Potamia as well as some others such as the folklore museum in Skala Potamias, in Limenaria, Kallirachi and Theologos. The building of Kalogeriko in the old port of Limenas houses a traditional Thassian house, where you can get to know the traditions, customs and manners of previous generations.
Monasteries
There are three monasteries on the island that are monuments of the Orthodox Christian faith. The monastery of Archangel Michael, which is also an important attraction for its impressive photographs on the top of a steep slope in the south of the island. The monastery of Agios Panteleimon located high on the mountain above the villages of Kazaviti and Prinos. In the sanctuary there is a cave of unique beauty with an exciting history to follow. Both the monastery and the cave are open to the public every day.
Last but not least, the monastery of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, built in 1813 and located on the road to the mountain village of Maries, Thassos. Apart from the miraculous icon of the Virgin Mary, there are also parts of the holy relics of Saint Arsenios, Saints Cosmas and Damianos and Saint Xenis.
